This really happened--and it was terrific! We have an unconventional family. Orlando has two adult sons who live in the same town we do, but due to our hectic schedules, we rarely get to spend time together. My sister also lives in town. She visits more often, much like Orlando, she is interested in healthy eating. Living in Central Texas (some may call it West Texas, I would have to argue with that statement) seafood plates are rare and most of the time it's a hit and miss--mostly miss. I am not a big seafood fan, but this meal had complex flavors that we paired with excellent white wine.
